Description

The limited-edition Ford Focus RS500 was launched in 2010 based on the Focus RS MK2.

The car featured an updated version of the 5-cylinder, 2.5-litre engine, which produced 350 hp /257 kW and 460 Nm of torque which is 15% more power than the standard Focus RS MK2, combined with a 6-speed manual transmission that sent the power to the front wheels. The revised engine featured a significantly larger air-to-air intercooler, a larger air filter box for increased airflow, larger-diameter exhaust pipe and an uprated fuel pump, along with an updated software calibration. As a result, the car could accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.7 seconds, and could reach a top speed of 265 km/h.

Visually the RS500 was distinguished by the unique matte black paint with matching alloy wheels. Inside there was a numbered metal plaque on the centre console and some carbon-effect finish touches on the bezels.
