Peugeot 308 II GTi 250
The second generation Peugeot 308 is a C-Segment car launched in 2013 as a replacement for the first generation 308. The fastest version of the car was the Peugeot 308 II GTi available in 250 and 270 versions from 2015-2017.
The car was fitted with a 1.6 liter THP S&S engine that comes in two versions, producing 250 hp (184 kw) and 270 hp (200 kw) of power and 330 Nm of torque, combined with a reworked 6-speed manual gearbox. The Euro6-compliant EP6 FDTR engine offered a compression ratio of 9.2:1, injection pressure of 200 bar and featured forged aluminium pistons, strengthened conrods and segmentation, polymer-enhanced bearings, stiffer bushings, reinforced bolts, supercharged air cooling system and revamped exhaust system. The GTi 270 accelerated from 0-100 km/h in 6,0 seconds (6,2 seconds for the GTi 250), covering 1,000 metres from a standing start in 25,3 seconds (25,6 seconds for the GTi 250), and reaching a top speed of 249 km/h (155 mph).
The GTi 270 also came equiped with Torsen® limited-slip differential technology, 19″ Carbone alloys shod with Michelin Pilot SportT 3 tyres (225/40 R18) and larger 380 mm discs in the front with red Peugeot Sport calipers and 268 mm counterparts in the rear. Both versions featured a 11 mm lower and sportier suspension setting (“pseudo” McPherson strut in the front,twist-beam system in the rear axle, semi-hollow anti-roll bar, stiffened aluminium wishbones, larger tracks and increased camber angles)
Visually the Peugeot 308 II GTi was distinguished by redesigned bumpers, a different grille, full LED headlamps, door sill extenders, expressive flanks, gloss-black diffuser incorporating twin exhaust pipes and GTi logos on the front wings and the tailgate. The 270 hp version can be further distinguished by the Coupe Franche livery with its combination of Ultimate Red and Perla Nera Black. Inside the car features bucket seats upholstered in leather and alcantara, flat bottom compact steering wheel with full grain leather design and the GTi logo, sporty instrument panel, anthracite-style upholstery, red stitching, GTi aluminium door sills, aluminium pedals, foot rest and gear knob.
In 2017 the car received a facelift with minor cosmetic updates including redesigned bumpers with larger air intakes.
