VW Polo VI GTI
The sixth generation of the Volkswagen Polo is a B-Segment car launched in 2017, based on the new Volkswagen Group MQB A0 platform and featuring larger dimensions than it’s predecessor.
The performance version, VW Polo VI GTI, launched in 2014, fitted with a four cylinder turbocharged 2.0 liter TSI engine (EA888) producing 200 hp (147 kw) of power and 320 Nm of torque, commbined with a 6 speed manual gearbox or a 6 speed dual clutch gearbox (DSG). The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6,7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 237 km/h (147 mph). The configuration includes special tuning of the springs, auxiliary springs, shock absorbers and anti-roll bars with the body lowered by 15 mm, ‘Sport Select’ version with active dampers (optional), electromechanical power steering, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), XDS differential lock and driving profile selection. Finally the car is equipped with all of the latest driver assistance systems.
Visually, the car is distiguished by a unique bumper with integrated spoiler lip, fog lights and a honeycomb radiator grille with a red stripe and GTI badge, LED headlights, 17 inch or 18 inch wheels, rear spoiler finished in black, tinted tailights and sporty rear bumper with chrome dual tailpipes. Inside, the car featured sport seats upholstered with the clark pattern, black leather trim with contrasting stitching, leather multifunction sports steering wheel, GTI instruments, digital instrument cluster, aluminium pedals and sporty gear knob.
