This custom hot hatch is a BMW M140i with M2 parts
The M140i served as the base for the build, inheriting the fenders, headlights, hood, bumpers, mirrors and wheels from the M2 Coupe. The new parts came from a wrecked example of the M2 so no cars were harmed during the process. The front splitter, side sill extensions and rear diffuser with four exhaust pipes are a nice touch, making the car look even more aggressive.
Under the bonnet, there is the six-cylinder turbocharged 3.0-liter B58 engine producing 250 kW / 340 hp and 500 Nm but in the future, there are plans for tuning it further, in order to reach closer to the BMW M2 Competition territory (302 kW / 410 hp and 550 Nm). We are not sure about the transmission, but given the character of the car, it would be ideal to have the six-speed manual combined with RWD.
The owner of the custom hot hatch is Dave Campbell from the United Kingdom, who plans to use the car for marketing purposes. Ultimately, when he completes the project he plans on selling similar conversions to the public. According to Road & Track, the parts for the build cost around £20,000.
