Ford Fiesta ST Performance Edition
Ford unveiled the Performance Edition of the Fiesta MK8 ST which will be limited to 600 units, exclusively available in the UK market, with various modicifations from the factory.
The car is equiped with a more focused suspension by Ford Performance, which was thouroughly tested on the Nurburgring. The coilover suspension has a lower ride height by 15 mm at the front and by 10 mm at the rear. It includes stainless steel damper housings and powder-coated blue springs while is also configurable with 12 bump and 16 rebound settings available. Additionaly, the car comes equiped with the Quaife limited-slip differential, launch control and shift indicator, just like the ST-3 trim level it is based on.
There are no changes under the bonnet where the three cylinder 1.5 liter Ecoboost engine produces 200 hp / 147 kw and 290 Nm of torque, offering a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 232 km/h (144 mph).
Visually, the Performance Edition is distinguished by the Deep Orange paint (which is very similar to our logo) and the new 18 inch rims finished in Magnetite shade which besides looking cool, they also save 7 kg of weight compared to the stock wheels. Inside, we find Recaro bucket seats, a 6,5 inch touch screen for the SYNC 3 infotainment system and a premium sound system by Bang & Olufsen.
The Fiesta ST Performance Edition will be £3,000 more expensive than the ST-3 trim level and will go on sale in June with the first deliveries expected in September 2019.
