Suzuki Swift TRB-04 breaks FWD record in Tsukuba

A heavily modified version of the Suzuki Swift Sport, tuned by HKS, broke the FWD lap record in the Japanese circuit of Tsukuba, clocking 56″ 308 with racing and drifting driver Nobuteru Taniguchi behind the wheel.

The Swift TRB-04 (Tsukuba Record Breaker) first launched at the 2018 Tokyo Motor Show but was further evolved before the record run. The record braking car, has a central driving position and is fitted with the 4G63 engine sourced from Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, combined with a sequential gearbox. (source: Drive.gr)

Visually, the TRB-04 has a wide body kit made of carbon fibre, that includes redesigned bumpers, large front spliter, new quarter panels, wide fenders, a double rear wing and 18 inch rims shod in 295/35R18 Yokohama Advan A050 tires.

The prototype, retains only a few panels from the Suzuki Swift Sport production car, looking really aggressive and track-ready and opening our appetite for a Suzuki Swift WRC racecar…
