Hyundai teases the facelifted i30 N Line
Hyundai unveiled the first images of the facelifted i30 before its premiere at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show next month.
Undeniably, the highlight of the redesigned i30 is its new face. The new grille with mesh pattern is considerably wider, with a curved shape inspired by the Hyundai Sonata. The new LED headlights feature modern V-shaped graphics for the Daytime Running Lights that are now integrated in them, while the side air intakes on the sculpted front bumper have a more aggressive shape. We should note that the model teased is the N Line version, which also serves as a preview for the real hot hatch – the i30 N – as the lesser versions will probably get a different (less sporty) bumper design.
According to the press release, the facelifted i30 will also feature a redesigned rear bumper, updated taillights and new wheel designs measuring 16″, 17″ and 18″. Inside the cabin, there will be a brand new digital instrument cluster and a larger 10,25″ touchscreen, while we also expect new materials and trims amongst the other upgrades.
Besides the i30 hatchback, the design changes will also be implemented on the i30 Fastback and i30 Wagon, which will be offered in N Line trim for the first time. Hyundai didn’t reveal any specs or any hints for the engine range of their updated C-Segment model. We expect more pictures and details on the facelifted i30 range to be revealed closer to its premiere, as Hyundai continues its teasing campaign.
