Hyundai i30 N tuned by RaceChip
German tuner RaceChip launched various tuning packages for the Hyundai i30 N, offering higher power output, improved torque figures and better handling with positive impact on the performance of the Korean hot hatch.
With the basic S chip that costs 390 aud (249 euros), the turbocharged 2.0 liter engine gets an additional +18kw (24hp) of power and +91 Nm of torque, offering up to 10% fuel savings
The RS chip that costs 625 aud (399 euros), brings the power up by +23kw (31hp) and +114Nm of torque, offering up to 15% fuel savings.
The most extreme GTS Black chip that costs 1096 aud (699 euros), offers an additional +28kw (38hp) of power and an astonishing +145Nm of torque.
Besides the chip, the company offers an HJS downpipe that extracts slightly more power from the engine while also improving the sound. As for the handling, they offer performance springs with 15mm lowered ride height and a new anti-roll kit from Eibach. Finally, the car is fitted with dark OZ Racing Leggera HLT alloy wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tires.
RaceChip applied all of the above modifications in their own show car, which ended up producing 238 kw (320 hp) of power and 524Nm of torque. As the company suggests, the upgrades resulted in an improved acceleration from 100-200 km/h in 14.4 seconds, while the stock car completed the sprint in 15.3 seconds.
