MINI unveils the John Cooper Works GP Pack
MINI unveiled the John Cooper Works GP Pack, a new special option for their hot hatchback inspired by the limited-production flagship John Cooper Works GP.
The car is based on the MINI John Cooper Works model, adding sporty touches to the exterior and the interior, for those who want a GP flair without sacrificing the rear seats.
The JCW GP Pack is exclusively available in Racing Grey metallic body colour, combined with Melting Silver metallic for the roof, rear spoiler and mirror caps. The bonnet scoop, door handles, logos and fuel lid are highlighted in black, similar to the darkened headlights and taillights with Piano Black headlight surround. Last but not least, the 18″ five-spoke wheels have the GP badge on the centre caps.
Inside the four-seater cabin (unlike the hardcore 2-seater JCW GP), we find a JCW steering wheel upholstered in Walknappa Leather with red stitching and JCW sports seats upholstered in Leather Dinamica with the GP badge which is also featured on the entry strips, the floormates and the 3d-printed gear-shift paddles (when specified with the 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission).
Additionally, the MINI Original range of accessories includes: bonnet scoop, side scuttled, tailgate handle in stitched carbon, JCW shift knob and JCW hand-brake grip in carbon fibre with Alcantara gaiter.
Under the bonnet we find the usual TwinPower turbo 2.0 liter engine producing 170 kw / 231 hp of power and 320 Nm of torque, mated with either a 6-speed manual transmission or the automatic 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. Just like in every other MINI John Cooper Works, there is a sporty bodykit combined with sports exhaust system, aggressive suspension setup and an upgraded Brembo brake system.
