Ford Focus RS Heritage Edition
On February 14, Ford announced a limited run of 50 Heritage Edition Focus RS models, exclusive to the UK market, before production stops on the 6th of April 2018.
It might not seem that long ago but the third generation of the Ford Focus RS was launched on the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. After 3 successful years in the market, the most powerful hot hatch from Ford Performance has reached the end of it’s life-cycle, as we are approaching the launch of the all new Focus MK4.
Under the bonnet, the 2.3 litre EcoBoost engine has been upgraded with the FPM375 Mountune kit, producing 280 kw (375 hp) of power and 510 Nm of torque thanks to a high-flow induction kit, uprated turbo re-circulating valve and calibration.
Also standard on the limited edition model is the mechanical Quaife limited-slip differential (LSD) on the front axle, providing better traction and improving acceleration and stability in conjunction with the All Wheel Drive, Dynamic Torque Vectoring and Torque Vectoring Control systems.
As the farewell model of this generation, the Heritage Edition comes equipped with partial leather Recaro seats, privacy glass, a sunroof, rear parking sensors, power-fold door mirrors, cruise control with speed limiter and heated steering wheel.
The RS Heritage Edition will be priced at £39,895, only available in the UK market for 50 lucky customers. We are definitely going to miss this thing however we are sure that Ford will keep up its pace with the next generation ST and RS models.
