Description

The Fiat Punto is a supermini produced by the Italian manufacturer Fiat since 1994. Internally codenamed Project 176, the Punto was announced in September 1993 and launched in early 1994 as a replacement for the ageing Fiat Uno.

The performance version of the first generation Punto was was the 1.4 GT Turbo – capable of a top speed that exceeded the 200 km/h mar and completing the 0-100km/h in just 7.9 seconds using an evolution of the turbocharged 128 SOHC engine originally found in the Fiat Uno Turbo Mk II.

During the years three different “series” of the GT were produced, with power of 136 hp / 100 kW (1993–1995), 133 hp / 98 kW (1995–1997) and 130 hp / 96 kW (1997–1999).
