In 2015, Hyundai launched the i30 Turbo which was the range topping performance derivative of the facelifted second generation model.

The car was powered by a 1.6 liter turbocharged engine producing 186 hp (137 kw) and 265 Nm of torque. 0-100km/h acceleration is achieved in 8.0 seconds and top speed is 219km/h (136mph). To complement the 28 per cent increase in power and 38 per cent increase in torque (over the 1.6 GDI model), the i30 Turbo was fitted with sports suspension tuning, new 18-inch wheels and tyres and more direct steering (2.78 turns lock-to-lock).

On the exterior, the car featured a redesigned accentuated hexagonal grille, red detailing on front and rear bumpers, LED headlights, twin exhast, new 18 inch alloy wheels, as well the exclusive Jet Black exterior colour. Inside the car featured sports front seats, sports instrument cluster and contrasting red details on the steering wheel, gear knob and door trims.
