Description

The fifth generation of the Mazda 323/Familia (BF) was launched in 1985. The fastest version of the car was equipped with a 1597 cm3 turbocharged DOHC engine, producing 140 hp (103 kW). The 4WD version sold in either a light-weight GT or fully optioned GT-X grade was introduced in October 1985. A limited production homologation special, the Mazda 323 III GT-X 4×4 (BF), appeared in May 1988 with the same engine producing 150 hp (110 kw). Visually the car featured 14 inch wheels and double rear spoiler.
