Description

The Austin Maestro was a C-Segment five-door hatchback produced between 1982 and 1994 by British Leyland and later by the Rover Group.

The first performance version of the car was the MG Maestro 1600 that debuted in 1983, followed by the more powerful Maestro 2.0i in 1984. However, the true hot hatch version of the model was the Maestro Turbo launched in 1988 with a limited production of 500 units. The 2.0 liter engine  produced 150 hp / 112 kW and 229 Nm of torque thanks to a Garrett T3 turbocharger, accelerating the car from 0-97 km/h in 6.7 seconds and allowing a top speed of 208 km/h.

Visually, the Maestro Turbo was distinguished by the slightly redesigned bodykit with body-coloured bumpers and the 15″ alloy wheels.
