Description

The MG ZR is a B-Segment “hot hatch” based on the Rover 25, produced by at their Longbridge plant in Birmingham from 2001 to 2005.

The range topping ZR 160 came with a 1.8 K Series VVC engine producing 160 hp (118 kW) and 174 Nm of torque. The car, weighting 1145 kg, accelerated from 0–60 mph in 7,4 seconds and a could reach a top speed of 131 mph (211 km/h). It also featured a different suspension set up, louder exhaust and larger brakes with 282 mm ventilated discs at the front and 260 mm solid discs at the rear.

Visually, the MG ZR was distinguished by deeper bumpers, body colored plastics, side sills, larger rims, honeycomb grille, twin exhaust pipes and a large rear spoiler.
