Mini Cooper SD MK3 (F55/F56)
The third generation Mini was launched in 2014 based on BMW’s UKL platform. The model was 98 mm longer, 44 mm wider, and 7 mm taller than its predecessor, with a 28 mm longer wheelbase and an increase in track width.
TheMini Cooper SD MK3 (F55/F56) was a performance derivative of the model using a 2.0 liter turbodiesel engine with TwinPower Turbo Technology (that consists of a turbocharger with variable turbine geometry and common rail direct injection). The engine produced 125 kW/170 hp and a maximum torque of 360 Nm between 1,500 – 2,750 rpm. The car completed the 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.4 seconds (automatic: 7.3 seconds), and could reach a top speed of 225 km/h (223 km/h).
Visually, the car featured the bodykit from MINI Cooper S with SD badging.
In 2018 the car received a mild facelift featuring adaptive LED headlights with Matrix function for the high beam and unique LED tailights with Union Jack graphics.
