Opel Corsa D OPC
Opel Corsa D OPC is the hot hatch version of the 3-door B-Segment model that was launched in 2007.
The car was fitted with a 1.6 liter turbocharged engine delivering 192 hp (141 kw) and 230 Nm of torque, combined with a six speed manual gearbox. The Corsa D OPC accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds while the top speed is 225 km/h. Opel Performance Center engineers tuned the sport chassis and the Electric Power Steering (EPS) to give the driver more precise control. Key OPC modifications include a stronger rear axle beam, re-tuned springs and dampers, a stiffer front anti-roll bar and a ride height 10 mm lower than the regular Corsa sport chassis. The standard Electronic Stability Control (ESC) had also been adjusted to match the car’s sporty character. The large 16-inch brake system, with blue brake calipers, included internally ventilated 308 mm disk brakes up front and 264 mm solid discs at the rear. The 17-inch alloy wheels with 215/45 R17 tires came as standard and 18-inch rims with 225 tires were optional.
On the exterior, the car has a redesigned bodykit with large bumpers, larger air intakes, sculpted side sills, different door mirrors, rear diffuser, a central triangular tailpipe, a deep rear roof spoiler and unique Y-spoke alloy wheels. Inside the car featured Recaro sports seats with integrated head restraints and side airbags, chrome-ringed instruments with red pointers, a center console finished in piano black lacquer, a flat-bottomed, sports leather steering wheel and aluminum pedals.
The car was facelifted in 2011.
