Opel Kadett GSi 16v

Description

The Kadett E was introduced in 1984, and was voted the 1985 European Car of the Year. The fastest version of the C-Segment model was the Opel Kadett GSi 16v.

The car was fitted with a 16 valve twin-cam version of Opel’s 2.0 liter engine producing 150hp (110 kw) and 196 Nm of torque, making the Kadett GSi 16v, the most powerful car in its class at the time. 0-100km/h acceleration was completed in 8,0 seconds while the top speed was 217 km/h (135 mph).

On the outside the car featured body coloured bumpers with rectangular fog lights, a different grille with GSi badging, 16v stickers, side skirts, darkened tailights, a spoiler and twin rectangular exhaust pipes.
