Description

The Peugeot 206 is a supermini car (B-Segment) that was launched in 1998. The performance derivative of the model was the Peugeot 206 GTi, launched in 1999, fitted with a 1997 cc EW10 16v I4 engine producing 138 hp (101 kW) of power and 190 Nm of torque. The car accelerated from 0-100 km/h in 8,3 seconds and could reach a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph).

In 2003, Peugeot launched an even more powerful version, the Peugeot 206 RC / GTi 180 which was fitted with a more powerful version of the 1997 cc EW10J4S engine that, thanks to variable valve timing and modified inlet and exhaust manifolds, produced 177 hp (130 kw) of power and 202 Nm of torque. The car accelerated from 0-100 km/h in 7,4 seconds and could reach a top speed of 220 km/h (137 mph), using a short shift gear linkage and altered gearbox ratios. Visually, it featured 17 inch alloy wheels and racing bucket front seats.
