Description

The Peugeot 208 is a B-Segment car, launched in 2012, as a replacement for the 207. In 2015 the car received a mid-life facelift which included visual and mechanical upgrades.

The Peugeot 208 GTi (facelift) was fitted with a slightly updated turbocharged 1598 cc engine producing 208 hp (153 kw) of power and 300 Nm of torque, combined with a 6 speed manual gearbox (close-ratio gears). The 0-100 km/h acceleration took 6,5 seconds (0,3 seconds faster than its predecessor) and the top speed remained at 230 km/h (143 mph).

The GTi version featured improvements on the steering response, the braking system, the chassis dynamics and the rigidity of the suspension compared to the rest of the 208 range. Springs, calibration of the shock absorbers, anti-roll bar, enhanced front subframe and rear crossmember rigidity, plus that the suspension and wheels were GTi-specific.

Visually, the facelifted car had redesigned bumpers with wider grille and different air intakes, new two-tone headlamp graphics with LED lights, 17″ Carbone wheels, and redesigned taillights with 3D LED graphics.
