Renault 11 Turbo
Description
The Renault 11 is a C-Segment car launched in 1981 as the hatchback version of the Renault 9, styled by the French automobile designer, Robert Opron.
The performance version – Renault 11 Turbo – was launched in 1984 as a three door model. Unlike the 5 Turbo or the 205 GTi, the 11 Turbo had a more comfort oriented focus. The turbocharged 1.4 liter engine produced 105 hp (78 kw) of power and 161 Nm of torque. That allowed a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 9 seconds, and a top speed of 188 km/h (117 mph).
The car received a facelift in 1986, that included redesigned and more modern front end, and an increase in power. The updated 1.4 liter engine produced 115 hp (86 kw) of power and 165 Nm of torque. That improved the 0-100 km/h acceleration time (8,7 seconds) and offered a slightly higher top speed of 193 km/h (120 mph).
The car was replaced in 1988 by the Renault 19.
