Suzuki Ignis Sport
Description
The first generation of the Suzuki Ignis was a B-Segment car launched in 2000, available in 3-door and 5-door hatchback bodystyles, powered by the M family of inline-four petrol engines.
The performance version, the Suzuki Ignis Sport, was launched in 2003, as a result of the company’s involvement with the WRC in 2002. It was fitted with a 1.5-litre engine producing 110hp (83kw) and 143 Nm of torque, featuring lowered suspension, close ratio gearbox and tuned exhaust. The car could accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8,9 seconds and had a top speed of 185 km/h (115 mph).
Visually the Ignis Sport was distinguished by an aggressive bodykit that included deeper front and rear bumpers, extended side sills, flared wheel arches, a mesh grille, a rear spoiler and a more prominent exhaust pipe. The car was only available in red, blue, silver, black and yellow colors. Inside, it featured Recaro sport seats, white instrument dials with blue illumination, carbon effect panels and aluminium pedals.
