Toyota Starlet GT Turbo S (P70)
Description
The Toyota Starlet P70 was a B-Segment car launched in 1984, switching to a front wheel drive platform, available in 3 door and 5 door hatchback bodystyles.
The performance version, Toyota Starlet GT Turbo S (P70), was fitted with a turbocharged 1295 cm3 liter engine (2E-TELU) producing 105 hp (77 kw) and 179 Nm of torque, combined with a 5 speed manual gearbox. The car offered a sporty driving experience thanks to the low weight of only 740 kg and the active suspension technology (TEMS).
Visually, the Starlet GT Turbo S was distinguished by a sporty bodykit that included larger body coloured bumpers, side skirts, flaired wheel arches, hoot scoop, a different grille with integrated lights, white alloy wheels, double rear spoilers and double exhaust pipes.
In 1990, the Starlet GT turbo S (P70) was replaced the next generation Starlet GT turbo (P80).
