Toyota Yaris II T-Sport
Description
The second generation Toyota Yaris was a B-Segment car launched in 2007.
The performance version, Toyota Yaris II T-Sport was fitted with a new 1.8 liter Dual VVT-i engine producing 133 hp (98 kw) and 174 Nm of torque, mated with a 5 speed manual transmission. The engine had an aluminium cylinder block, plastic intake manifold, roller rocker arms, low-tension piston rings and light weight pistons to reduce weight. The car accelerated from 0-100 km/h in 9.3 seconds and could reach a top speed of 194 km/h. Other modifications over the base model included a lowered suspension by 8mm, returned springs and shoch absorbers, thicker front anti-roll bar, linking rod at the rear and retuned electric power steering, while the standard equipment included Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC) and Anti Lock Brakes (ABS).
Visually, the car was distinguished by the sporty front bumper with round fog lights, darkened headlights, unique mesh grille with TS badging, side skirts, roof spoiler, deeper rear bumper with a chrome sports exhaust pipe, redesigned tailight graphics and 17 inch alloy wheels. Inside the car featured sports seats, alloy highlighting and leather trimmed steering wheel.
