Suzuki Swift Sport concept with a wide bodykit revealed in Thailand

Among various versions of their production vehicles, Suzuki Motor Thailand unveiled a sporty concept car based on the Swift Sport with a heavily redesigned bodykit at the 2019 Thailand Auto show. The prototype has not been advertised globally so we assume that it is a one-off vehicle to showcase possible visual modifications.

At the front, the new bumper has a smaller grille with a red “Sport” badge, a more prominent splitter and full-width lower air intakes with additional aerodynamic openings on the sides. The bonnet is also new with black graphics and sculpted lines resembling faux intakes.

The profile of the concept car is characterised by the large wheels with performance tires (probably 19″ BBS-style rims), the fender extensions in carbon-fibre style trim and the accompanying side sills. The side windows are heavily tinted enhancing the “floating roof” design element in combination with the blackened pillars.

Moving over at the back, we find a large roof spoiler and a second spoiler extensions between the headlights. The rear bumper has been redesigned with carbon-fibre style graphics, additional inlets, a body-coloured diffuser and two fake exhaust pipes finished in chrome.

There is no word for possible modifications under the bonnet, so we guess that the prototype is equipped with the standard turbocharged 1.4 litre K14C Boosterjet engine producing 140 hp / 103 kW of power and 230 Nm of torque taken directly from the  Swift Sport.

The Suzuki Swift is due for a facelift in 2020 so we have to wait to see if the updated  Swift Sport will inherit the looks of this  prototype.
