Volkswagen Polo GTI tuned by Siemoneit Racing
German tuner Siemoneit Racing presented their package for the Volkswagen Polo VI GTI which offers vastly increased power output, a more aggressive suspension setup and interior modifications.
Starting with the four-cylinder 2.0 TSI engine, it now delivers 235 kW / 320 hp and 430 Nm of torque, thanks to a bigger turbocharger, a new intercooler and an upgraded exhaust system. For comparison, the stock car produces 147 kw / 200 hp and 320 Nm of torque. The 7-Speed DSG transmission that sends the power to the front axle has also been upgraded to handle the increased power and torque figures.
According to Siemoneit Racing, the tuned Polo GTI accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5,2 seconds (-1,5 sec) and can reach a top speed of 256 km/h (+19 km/h).
Besides the engine, the company offers a KW clubsport suspension that transforms the character of the hot hatch together with 18″ ATS wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
Inside we find Recaro racing seats with Sabelt three-point seatbelts. If the owner wants, Siemoneit Racing will remove the rear seats and add a full roll cage which makes the car significantly less practical extra protection.
Engine upgrades cost €8,998 (14,553 aud) while the rest of the modifications (suspension, wheels, roll cage etc) cost an additional €11,630 (18,812 aud)
